Our Story
Who we are
Manos Colombianas was born from an association of young people in Tierralta with one purpose: to share the art and culture of Colombia with the world. We showcase the work of different communities —from the Sinú, in Córdoba, and across the country— to keep alive the memory of our ancestors and the crafts we inherited from our grandparents.
We want to build a fair-trade network for ancestral art: one that pays every artisan with dignity and supports the most vulnerable communities.
Craft as living memory
In each piece there is no empty decoration: there is territory, lineage and memory. To buy a piece is to carry a fragment of that story, handmade by a person with a name and a craft.
Every piece is contemporary craftsmanship, created today by living artisans. We never sell archaeological or heritage pieces: that heritage belongs to Colombia and its trade is prohibited by law.
